Product Description

Active Constituents: 

Ringer Solution (isotonic electrolyte solution made up of sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride 2 H20, water for injection), polyethylene glycol, polyhexanide 0.02% (Lavanid 1) or polyhexanide 0.04% (Lavanid 2). 

Directions for Use: 

Can be poured out and removal by syringe and needle

Dosage and Administration: 

For wound irrigation during surgical procedures and diagnostic and therapeutic measures that require irrigation or moistening. Suitable for repeated and long term wound treatment.

Lavanid 1 

To be chosen for frequent use for very sensitive wounds.

Lavanid 2 

To be chosen for acute contaminated and suppurated wounds.

Presentation: 

Flexible bottle.

  • Lavanid 1 – 125ml Bottle and 1000ml Bottle
  • Lavanid 2 – 250ml Bottle and 1000ml Bottle

Caution: 

Use clear solution only. Do not mix with additives. Do not resteralize, this may critically alter its usability.

Shelf Life: 

Shelf life after opening 2 months. Do not use after the expiry date.

Contraindications: 

Must not be used on any part of the CNS (including the meninges), in the area of cartilage and joints, in the middle or inner ear, intraperitoneally, in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
